Privacy Policy

The Farewell app connects to no server. Your files, your passphrases and the contents of your vaults never leave your Mac. No telemetry, no account, no “phone home”. This policy therefore concerns only the data related to the purchase and management of licences on farewell.pro.

1. Data controller

2. Data collected

Email address — provided at purchase, to identify the licence and allow its management.
Mac serial number(s) — provided by the Customer to bind the licence to their devices.
Transaction data — date, amount, plan purchased, payment identifiers (handled by Stripe; the Seller never receives your card details).

No other personal data is collected. The site uses no tracking cookies and no analytics tools.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Process payment and generate the licence — performance of the contract.
Manage licences and customer support — performance of the contract / legitimate interest.
Comply with accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
Prevent fraud — legitimate interest.

4. Recipients and processors

Stripe — payment processing.
Infomaniak — website hosting (Switzerland).
Google Cloud KMS — cryptographic signing of licences. Only a fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of the licence is sent to this service: neither your email nor your serial numbers are disclosed to it in clear.

The Seller does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

5. Retention period

Data tied to a licence is kept for as long as the licence is active. Accounting documents (invoices) are kept for the applicable legal period (10 years).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. To exercise them: hello@farewell.pro.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data-protection authority, the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence within the European Union.

7. Security

The Seller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data processed. Farewell's very design minimizes data: the app stays offline and only the strict minimum is collected for billing and licence management.
