Terms of Sale
In effect as of 21 June 2026
1. Purpose
These terms of sale (the “Terms”) govern the sale of licences for the Farewell software by Denis Florent Media Group SRL (the “Seller”) to any person making a purchase on the farewell.pro website (the “Customer”). Placing an order implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
2. Seller
Denis Florent Media Group SRL — a limited liability company under Romanian law
Registered office: Strada Sergent Ilie David nr. 2, parter, cam. 1, Sector 4, București, Romania
CUI 36511626 — Trade Register J40/11935/2016 — hello@farewell.pro
EU VAT number: RO36511626.
3. Products
Farewell is an encryption application for macOS. The Seller offers perpetual usage licences that include updates throughout version 1:
- Single — €49, usable on 1 Mac.
- Duo — €69, usable on 2 Macs.
- Quintet — €129, usable on 5 Macs.
Each licence is bound to the serial number(s) of the Mac(s) chosen by the Customer. The licence is personal, non-transferable and perpetual for version 1 of the software.
4. Price
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. The Seller is VAT-registered (EU VAT number RO36511626); where applicable, the VAT charged is that of the country of consumption within the European Union. The Seller reserves the right to change its prices at any time; products are billed at the rates in effect at the time of the order.
5. Order and payment
Payment is made online by card through our provider Stripe. The Customer provides their email address at payment. The order is final once payment is confirmed. Payment data never passes through the Seller's servers.
6. Licence delivery
After payment, the Customer reaches a management page where they enter the serial number(s) of their Mac(s) (obtainable with one click in the app). The licence key is then generated and made available directly on that page (displayed and downloadable). It is not sent by email.
Once generated, a licence is irrevocable and final: a serial number bound to a licence cannot be removed or reassigned. The Customer may add Macs up to the limit of their plan (1, 2 or 5).
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
As this is digital content supplied immediately, the European rules on distance contracts (Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed into Romanian law) apply.
By generating their licence (and thereby starting performance of the service), the Customer expressly requests immediate performance and acknowledges waiving their 14-day right of withdrawal.
How withdrawal and refunds apply in practice — before and after the licence is generated — is set out in the Refund policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Legal guarantees
The Customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity applicable to digital content and services (Directive (EU) 2019/770, transposed into Romanian law) and from the mandatory consumer-protection rights of their country of residence within the European Union. If the software does not work as described, the Seller undertakes to fix it or, failing that, to refund. These guarantees apply regardless of the waiver of the right of withdrawal.
9. No recovery — limitation of liability
Farewell has no recovery, no master key and no backdoor — by design. If the Customer loses their passphrase and, where applicable, their hardware key, the encrypted content is permanently inaccessible. The Seller cannot under any circumstances recover a passphrase, a key or any data. The Customer is solely responsible for them.
To the extent permitted by law, and without prejudice to the legal guarantees, the Seller's liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for their licence. The Seller cannot be held liable for any data loss resulting from the loss of a passphrase or a hardware key.
10. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Customer service and dispute resolution
For any question or complaint: hello@farewell.pro.
For a dispute not resolved amicably, the Customer may use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The competent Romanian consumer-protection authority is the ANPC (Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor, anpc.ro).
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute shall fall under the competent Romanian courts, without prejudice to the mandatory protective provisions of the consumer's country of habitual residence within the European Union.
